Nagaoka MEC Forest has been active since 2008, and this event marked its 21st maintenance activity.
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, despite the intense midsummer-like heat, 33 participants worked to restore clogged waterways, cut back undergrowth using brush cutters, remove trees that had fallen under the weight of snow, and prune branches - all while taking appropriate breaks.
These activities aim to improve drainage and support the continued growth of the forest.
